Her broader research interests include human behaviour, human mobility, social inequalities, machine learning, and swarm intelligence.  ​

Hilke Brockmann

Associate Professor of Sociology at Constructor University, Bremen, Germany.

​Her research examines the relationship between migration and happiness, identifying how migration processes, family reunification, and social environments shape well-being among both migrants and native populations. Using advanced econometric and longitudinal methods, she investigates the causal effects of migration on social integration and political polarization. She has also contributed to methodological advances in happiness research through experimental and causal inference approaches. ​
